RIASEC Personality Types
The Career Interests Game helps match interests and skills with possible career environments.
Dr. John Holland's theory groups people and work environments into six broad categories. Most people are a combination of several areas, but two or three types often stand out most strongly.
R — Realistic
Mechanical, practical, outdoor, tool-based, or hands-on work.
I — Investigative
Observation, research, analysis, evaluation, and problem solving.
A — Artistic
Creative, innovative, expressive, and less structured environments.
S — Social
Teaching, helping, counseling, training, and supporting others.
E — Enterprising
Leading, persuading, managing, selling, and motivating.
C — Conventional
Data, records, numbers, systems, and organized procedures.
